That means there's no super powers or aliens, but there may still be some outlandish weapons and scenarios for fans to involve themselves in. Despite the different cast, the game aims to retain the same tone and general gameplay feel of the first three games. The likes of Johnny Gat are not set to appear in the game, so a new group will be leading the Saints this time around. The Saints Row reboot was revealed at Gamescom with a stylish new CG trailer that introduces fans to the new cast of characters. Thankfully, that aspect of the series doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.
Without co-op, Saints Row probably wouldn't have taken off the way that it did. The series made a name for itself via its outlandish antics, which were enhanced when players invited their friends to join in on the action. Saints Rowis returning in 2022 and Volition has confirmed that the reboot will not only have two-player co-op, but it'll also be cross-gen.
